Java has been after having again lost number one the first position in C for 10 months. Impelled by the success of the Android telephones, Java has gained market share of more of all the languages last half year (2.03%). Python also is increasing again (1,07% last half year). Competing itself with PHP to be the interpreted most popular language.

Programming TIOBE index community is an indicator of the popularity of the programming languages. The index is updated once a month. The qualifications are based anywhere in the world on the number of qualified engineers, courses and other suppliers. The most popular web search engines of Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, Amazon, YouTube and Baidu are used to calculate the qualifications. It observes that index TIOBE is not on the best language or programming language in which the majority of the lines of code has been written.

The index can be used to verify if their abilities of programming continue being the day or to make a strategic decision envelope what programming language must be adopted when the construction of a new system of software begins. The definition of index TIOBE can be found here
